History:
Baruipur diocese had no cathedral since its inception. With the initiative of Bishop Salvadore Lobo Cathedral was built and blessed in November 2009.
Three villages from Baruipur parish namely, Kalipur, Bibirchak and Kochpukur were attached to cathedral parish.
