History:
The process of establishing Nazat as parish began in 2014 with Bishop's intention to entrust the pastoral care to CMF in the diocese by bifurcating four sub-stations of Kumrokhali namely Nazat, Tushkhali, Balirkhal and Dhaknamari. Following this Deacon A. Premnath was sent to Kumrokhali for diaconate ministry in view of making assessment for them to start a parish. He continued his mission there after priestly ordination. He along with Fr. Christuraj, CMF stayed initially in the parish as there was no place. Finally they made a residence at Nazat with Rev. Fr. Christuraj, CMF as first Priest-In-Charge of Catholic Church.
