History:
The vastness of Raghabpur Parish necessitated that Hogalkuria, one of the villages of the parish situated in the North Eastern part of the parish, be raised as parish so as to have better pastoral care of the faithful. Thus, there was a proposal from the Board of Consultors for the same in 1998. Later in 2016, a church was built and dedicated to St. Teresa of Calcutta. Considering the opinion of the provincial, Rev. Fr. Raphael Joseph Hyde, SJ and willingness of the Congregation of Mission (CM) to take up the pastoral leadership of the place, it was finally bifurcated from Raghabpur parish on December 19, 2018 with Rev. Fr. K.C. Joseph, CM as first Parish Priest.
