History:
Detached from Morapai and Raghabpur Parishes. It was canonically erected as a Parish in 1971 with Fr. Poderzaj, SJ the eternal builder as the
first parish priest. He was replaced in April 1976 by Fr. P. Stephan, SJ who put the last touch to the church begun by his predecessor and it was
inaugurated in December 1976. Fr. Abani Sardar was appointed parish priest in 1980.
