History:
From 1977 the Catholic Community of Budge Budge and Bata Nagar was visited by Fathers from Kidderpur church under Calcutta Diocese. Since 1985
these places had been taken care of by the priests from Thakurpukur Parish. From 1990 Fr. Salvadore Lobo had been appointed the Parish Priest of
Thakurpukur and he had been visiting the places every Sunday for two years. In 1992 a Welfare Centre was built at Budge Budge to run a Primary
School in the initial stages. It was detached from Thakurpukur Parish in 1994 and made a New Parish with Fr. Daniel Makhal as the First Priest-in-
charge.
