A New Dawn for St. Mary's

On 17th December 2024, St. Mary's School, Kalyanpur, celebrated the inauguration of its new school building. The ceremony was led by Most Rev. Bishop Shyamal Bose, Bishop of Baruipur, and Bishop Salvadore Lobo, Bishop Emeritus of Baruipur, with dignitaries, faculty, students, and parents in attendance. The Bishops cut the ribbon and unveiled a plaque,

followed by a prayer service to bless the institution's future. The event included inspiring addresses from the Bishops and cultural performances by students. Fr. John Britto, Secretary of the Managing Committee, thanked the key donors, including the Episcopal Conference of Italy and Mr. and Miss Sattler. The event concluded with a tour of the new facilities, highlighting the school's growth and promising future. St. Mary's began as a Bengali medium primary school in 1980 and switched to English medium in 2015, now reaching up to class VIII.
