Celebration of Laity Sunday

This year, in compliance with Laity Commission of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India, on Sunday, June 23, 2024 Laity Sunday was observed with great respect to lay leaders in all churches throughout the Diocese of Baruipur. The dedication of the lay faithful and the support of the clergy and religious made this significant event possible.

It should be noted that St. Teresa of Child Jesus Church, Basanti, Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. Teresa of Calcutta, Baruipur, St. Joseph's Church, Raghabpur and Sajnaberia, St. Anthony's Church, Keorapukur, Sacred Heart Church, Morapai, St. Stephen's Church, Kalyanpur and other Parishes and Substations have all offered the Eucharist in accordance with the guidelines established by the Laity Commission of CCBI. The lay leaders were happy that their service is acknowledged and applauded by the clergy, religious and the laity in general.
