Vocation Camp 2024

The Vocation Commission of the Catholic Diocese of Baruipur set out a three-days Vocation Camp for the young boys from 11th of April to 13th of April, 2024 in Dishari Pastoral Centre, Baruipur. Approximately 32 boys from various parishes enthusiastically participated in the camp. This significant event commenced with a dynamic session by Most Rev. Shyamal Bose, followed by various other active sessions by other priests of the diocese. The main purpose of this vocation camp was to sow the seed of priesthood in the minds of present youngsters.

 The second day began with a morning prayer and the Holy Eucharistic presided over by Rt. Rev. Shyamal Bose, the Bishop, in which he helped the participants to understand God’s call to priesthood and urged everyone to remain intimate in the compassionate Heart of Jesus. There was also a special individual meeting for the boys who showed their eagerness in becoming a priest. The final day morning, Rev. Fr. Kanauj Roy, the Vicar General celebrated the Holy Mass where he spoke on the significance of Christ' s boundless love towards humanity especially in conferring priesthood.

 At the eleventh hour, this significant event came to an end with the gracious words of gratitude followed by a fellowship meal.
